Role summary

This is a full-time, on-site Cleaner position at Abu Kaabi Kabab Restaurant and Grills in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The position supports day-to-day restaurant operations by keeping all customer and back-of-house areas clean, hygienic, and presentable.

Key duties

The Cleaner will handle routine housekeeping tasks across the dining space, kitchen, washrooms, and storage areas. Work includes sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, removing rubbish, preparing tables and chairs for guests, and helping maintain an orderly service environment. The role also requires the safe handling of cleaning materials, compliance with hygiene and safety procedures, and basic support in organizing and replenishing cleaning supplies.

Qualifications

• Competence in everyday cleaning work such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, surface wiping, and waste removal, with careful attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of hygiene standards, food safety, and workplace health and safety, or a willingness to learn and apply them.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods, move around the restaurant as needed, and lift or carry light to moderate items.
• Strong time management and organizational ability to complete tasks efficiently and keep standards steady during busy periods.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with kitchen, service, and management teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, according to business needs.
• Prior experience in cleaning or hospitality is helpful but not essential, as training can be provided on the job.
• Basic English and/or local language communication skills to understand instructions and coordinate with colleagues.

Work requirements and conditions

The role is based fully on-site in Abu Dhabi. It is a full-time restaurant support position and may involve shift work during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
