Role overview
As a Busser at Flanigan’s, you’ll help keep the dining room, bar, and patio areas clean, organized, and ready for guests. This role supports servers, bartenders, and the rest of the team by maintaining a smooth, welcoming service environment.
Key duties
- Keep to the company’s safety, sanitation, and training procedures at all times.
- Prepare tables for arriving guests quickly and accurately.
- Remove used dishes and glassware and assist guests with clearing items from tables.
- Collect trash and loose debris from bar and dining room floors.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, parking areas, patio spaces, and waiting areas.
- Make sure high chairs and booster seats are clean and sanitary.
- Handle opening, closing, shift-change tasks, and other assigned side work.
Work conditions and physical demands
- Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping are required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and place heavy items on high shelves, in coolers, and in freezers.
- The work environment is damp and can be hot, with most work indoors and some minimal outdoor time.
Compliance and language requirements
- Completion and passing of the Florida Responsible Vendor Program is required in line with Flanigan’s policies and Florida law.
- Completion and passing of a food safety certification program is also required in line with Flanigan’s policies and Florida law.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
Schedule and benefits
- This role follows a five-day work week.
- Paid vacation is available after the first year: one week after year one, two weeks after two years, and three weeks after ten years.
- Medical and dental insurance plans are available.
- 401(k) eligibility is immediate, and enrollment requires being 21 or older.
- Shift meals are offered at 50% off.
