Role Overview

Woolworths New Zealand is hiring a Baker for its bakery department in Kerikeri. This position is suited to someone who wants to grow a career in baking while contributing to a busy, customer-focused retail environment.

Work Schedule

This roster follows Option 1 with the following hours: Monday 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Tuesday 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Wednesday 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Thursday 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and Sunday 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Key Duties

The role involves preparing high-quality bakery items, maintaining food safety and health and safety standards, and supporting a strong customer experience in the bakery area. The Baker will also help train, guide, and supervise apprentices and other bakery team members.

The ideal applicant brings practical baking experience and proven knowledge of bakery work. Strong customer orientation, clear communication, and the ability to stay effective under pressure are important. Flexibility and the ability to work to tight timeframes are also essential.
