AI/ML Engineer - Fully Remote

Role overview

This contract opportunity is for an ML Engineer who will work remotely on advanced AI coding-agent workflows. The role is focused on applying technical judgment to real-world machine learning and AI engineering problems while helping evaluate the quality of model-generated solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Work with frontier AI coding agents to complete and assess complex tasks in machine learning and AI engineering.
• Analyze implementations produced by models across areas such as training pipelines, inference systems, MLOps, and LLM-based applications.
• Spot defects, unusual edge cases, efficiency gaps, and other failure patterns in AI systems.
• Review and compare outputs from multiple leading models, noting their relative strengths and limitations.
• Use sound engineering judgment when handling practical ML scenarios and technical tradeoffs.

Required qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience in machine learning engineering.
• Hands-on experience with production ML systems, deployment tooling, LLM applications, or AI-driven products.
• Frequent use of AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or equivalent tools.
• Ability to judge model-generated ML code and evaluate tradeoffs in implementation choices.

Preferred background

• Prior experience shipping ML systems into production is preferred.

Compensation and process

The position pays $85 per hour, and also notes $400 for each accepted task. Pay is tied to work that is accepted.

The application flow is estimated to take 20 to 30 minutes and includes three steps: uploading a resume, completing an AI interview based on the resume, and submitting the form.
