Data Analyst Healthcare

About the Role

We are hiring a seasoned Data Analyst with deep experience in MS SQL, healthcare data modeling and integration, and statistics. The position supports the creation of scalable and efficient cloud-based data infrastructure, adds monitoring for automated system health checks, contributes to CI pipeline development, and includes mentoring and guiding the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and report on large US healthcare datasets, including claims, eligibility, provider, utilization, and quality information.
• Develop, refine, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to pull, verify, and examine healthcare records from relational databases.
• Carry out data checks, reconciliation, and transformation work to ensure reporting accuracy for business and regulatory use.
• Support healthcare data modeling and integration across Snowflake, MySQL, and similar platforms for marts and analytics layers.
• Work closely with data engineering teams to enable dependable data ingestion and integration from source systems such as claims processing, provider systems, and eligibility feeds.
• Contribute to analytics efforts tied to value-based care, population health, quality improvement, and operational performance.
• Build process maps, data lineage diagrams, and architecture visuals using Microsoft Visio or draw.io for healthcare workflows.
• Record healthcare business rules, data definitions, metric logic, and reporting methods in a clear and structured way.
• Help standardize metrics that align with healthcare programs and reporting frameworks.
• Partner with stakeholders in Healthcare Operations, Finance, Clinical, Quality, and Compliance to understand reporting requirements.
• Convert complex healthcare data into practical insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Share findings, trends, and recommendations with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Healthcare Analytics, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in US healthcare analytics, including benefits, claims, and eligibility data.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying and analyzing healthcare datasets.
• Working familiarity with Snowflake, MySQL, and modern data warehousing practices.
• Experience preparing healthcare process and data flow documentation with Microsoft Visio or comparable tools.
• Strong analytical ability, structured problem-solving, and data validation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business groups.
