Role Summary

The Store Assistant is responsible for helping deliver an excellent customer journey while supporting the day-to-day running of the store. This position calls for strong people skills, a customer-oriented approach, and genuine enthusiasm for retail. The right candidate will assist with sales, keep the store presentation at a high standard, and help the team meet performance goals while guiding shoppers across a wide range of products.

Customer Service and Sales

• Welcome customers warmly and assist them in a courteous, professional manner.
• Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate products from different categories.
• Explain product features and help shoppers make informed choices.
• Use upselling and cross-selling techniques to support sales objectives.
• Respond to questions and concerns in a way that maintains customer satisfaction.

Store Operations

• Help with visual merchandising, product presentation, and keeping the store looking polished.
• Restock shelves and make sure products are labeled and priced correctly.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, opening shipments, and arranging stock.
• Keep the store tidy and comply with hygiene and safety requirements.

Transactions

• Accurately process customer payments and complete end-of-day cash reconciliation.

Teamwork and Communication

• Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure efficient store operations.
• Take part in training, sales briefings, and promotional campaigns.
• Relay customer feedback and sales observations to the management team.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of retail experience is mandatory.
• Strong spoken and written English is required; knowledge of Russian is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A customer-first mindset with a professional and positive approach.
• Comfort working in a busy environment and managing several tasks at once.
• Basic understanding of sales methods and customer service practices.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
• Dependable team player with a proactive work style.
