Role Overview
An established hedge fund with a global trading footprint is scaling its Singapore engineering presence and making substantial investments in next-generation low-latency trading systems. This position is centered on building and tuning high-performance infrastructure that supports market data, order routing, execution, simulation, and strategy components. You will work closely with quantitative researchers and systems architects, with meaningful ownership, technical leadership scope, and direct influence over trading technology used across APAC.
Key Responsibilities
You will design, develop, and improve latency-sensitive systems that power critical trading workflows. The work spans market data, order entry, execution, simulation, and strategy platforms, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and scalability in demanding market environments.
Required Background
The role calls for a strong software engineering foundation, advanced C++ expertise, and solid Python experience. Candidates should bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience working in an HFT or quantitative trading setting, along with a deep understanding of Linux systems, CPU behavior, and performance troubleshooting.
You should also have experience with high-performance networking in low-latency environments, including market data distribution and real-time communication protocols. Familiarity with systems that support quantitative research, backtesting, or live trading is expected. Exposure to cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS will be considered an advantage.
