About the Role

Emirates NBD, a major banking group in the Middle East with more than USD 6 billion in revenue and a global workforce of 14,000, has launched its Advanced Analytics Centre of Excellence to accelerate the bank’s analytics ambitions. The centre is intended to create substantial business value through advanced analytics initiatives and to strengthen a data-led way of working across the organization.

The centre is designed to support business units in applying advanced analytics to improve decision-making across multiple domains. It will also guide teams in identifying feasible opportunities, prioritizing use cases, and building the capabilities needed to scale analytics across the bank. The team will include data scientists, data engineers, and other digital specialists working together in cross-functional squads.

Role Overview

This position is a 12-month contract. The Senior Data Analyst will scope, design, and implement machine learning models that support use-case delivery and contribute toward agreed business outcomes. The role requires close collaboration with product owners, business translators, data warehousing teams, and data engineering teams to build big data applications using both structured and unstructured data, design suitable data architecture, and explore new machine learning approaches.

The role also involves ownership of end-to-end delivery for machine learning models, including ongoing testing and maintenance to improve performance and align solutions with changing business requirements. In addition, the Senior Data Analyst will support translators in explaining the design, behavior, and outputs of analytical solutions.

Another important part of the role is mentoring junior team members by guiding their work and supporting their professional development.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a university degree. A postgraduate qualification such as an MS or Ph.D. in Computer Applications, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related technical field with strong analytical depth is preferred. The role requires 6 to 8 years of experience in a data science position.

Eligibility

Professionals with a university degree and 6–8 years of experience in data science or a closely related analytics role are eligible to apply. Advanced academic qualifications in a relevant technical or quantitative discipline are preferred.
