Security Officer

Role Overview

This position involves safeguarding premises, people, and property by carrying out access control, patrols, surveillance, screening, and incident response duties in a security operations setting in Singapore.

Key Duties

• Manage fixed security posts and control entry and exit points.
• Verify passes, identification documents, and related credentials at access locations.
• Inspect people and vehicles entering or leaving the site.
• Carry out patrols to protect client staff and assets.
• Use metal detectors, explosive detectors, and x-ray equipment at checkpoints.
• Exchange visitor and contractor passes for ID cards and return them as required.
• Respond promptly when alarms are triggered.
• Monitor CCTV feeds.
• Handle incidents such as unattended items and similar security concerns.
• Keep accurate logs and records of incidents.
• Check boarding documents, staff passes, and valid entry passes.

Requirements

• Prior security experience is not required; on-the-job training will be given.
• Applicants should be able to read, write, and communicate in basic English.
