Role overview
This position is focused on keeping the workplace safe by watching access to the facility, covering assigned patrol areas, and helping protect people, equipment, and property.
Key duties
- Oversee entry to the site by verifying IDs and recording visitors as they arrive.
- Carry out routine patrols to support the safety of the premises.
- Act quickly when alarms sound or when incidents and emergencies occur.
- Escalate any unusual behavior, security violations, or unsafe conditions.
- Follow company security rules and internal procedures at all times.
- Support traffic management and control access points when needed.
- Keep detailed logs of daily activity and any incidents that take place.
Requirements
- Prior work in security or a similar position is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication abilities are needed.
- You should be able to stay calm and respond effectively during emergencies.
- A working understanding of safety practices and security procedures is expected.
- The role requires physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for long periods.
- Shift work is required, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
