The opportunity
Tanium is hiring an energetic Sales Development Representative to support its expanding business in Munich. In this role, you will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Channel teams while building the groundwork for a long-term career in technology sales. The company will support your growth through ongoing development, training, and the tools needed to succeed.
What you will be doing
- Arrange well-qualified meetings for field sales colleagues by applying a structured sales process and territory-focused outreach.
- Create and execute an outbound prospecting plan to grow your assigned territory together with field sales.
- Handle marketing-generated leads and complete timely follow-up on inbound interest in your territory.
- Use tools such as Salesforce, Groove, LinkedIn Navigator, Claude AI, and Notion to maximize productivity and impact.
- Work alongside sales, marketing, and partners to build a healthy, qualified pipeline.
- Develop cold-calling and prospecting expertise through training and enablement, while building product knowledge, competitive awareness, and market insight.
- Improve communication and reporting skills with support from leadership and share clear updates back to the business.
- Consistently meet or beat weekly activity targets for calls, emails, conversations, and meetings.
- Operate in a highly collaborative environment with teammates and business partners.
- Be prepared for approximately 5% travel time.
What we are looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in Enterprise SaaS or Security is preferred.
- Strong motivation to contribute to a team that helps customers solve important IT and security challenges.
- Ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
- Comfort working with a high-energy sales team to refine and improve sales strategies.
- Curiosity, coachability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A competitive mindset with the drive to overachieve.
- Fluency in English and native or bilingual German language skills.
