About the Role

The position is open for candidates based in San Francisco, New York, or Chicago, and sponsorship is not available. The role follows a hybrid working model, with time split between home and a LinkedIn office depending on team and business needs.
As a Sales Development Representative, you will contribute to new business generation by qualifying inbound leads and supporting outbound campaigns. A key part of the role is also helping develop the individuals handling those leads. Similar sales development roles exist across LinkedIn’s divisions, including Talent Solutions, Sales Solutions, and Corporate Solutions.
What You Will Do
- Screen and develop inbound and outbound sales opportunities.
- Run outreach campaigns to create fresh sales prospects.
- Maintain precise records of customer communications in Salesforce.
- Partner with Account Executives to shape industry-focused outreach plans and determine the best approach for new leads.
- Arrange product demonstrations between Account Executives and prospective customers.
- Use social selling methods, including Sales Navigator, to identify and prospect into potential leads.
- Handle a high volume of calls with decision-makers to uncover business challenges that LinkedIn Corporate Solutions can address.
- Support a major share of the Account Executive pipeline.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in sales, business development, recruiting, lead generation, or sales operations; or a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Prior exposure to Salesforce.com or another CRM platform is preferred.
- Strong command of MS Office tools, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship-building, organizational, and phone skills.
- Ability to manage time well, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
- Comfort with analyzing opportunities and reading business situations accurately.
- Ability to use data to guide decisions and influence others.
- Capability to build persuasive strategies with close attention to detail.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving startup-style environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $64,000 to $92,000 per year. Final compensation depends on factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and work location, and may vary in other locations based on labor-market differences.
The total pay package may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other incentive compensation plans.
