Role summary
This on-site Receptionist position is based at Moxy Dublin Docklands in Dublin, County Dublin. The role is the main guest contact at the front desk and focuses on creating a welcoming arrival experience, supporting smooth check-ins and check-outs, and sharing helpful information about hotel facilities, nearby attractions, and transport options.
Key duties
The receptionist will manage phone and email enquiries, handle reservations, take payments, and work closely with housekeeping and other hotel departments so guest rooms and shared spaces are prepared on time. The position also includes responding to guest needs, addressing concerns quickly, and keeping the reception area organized and running efficiently.
In addition, the successful candidate will help maintain the hotel’s brand style and contribute to a lively, inclusive, and guest-first environment across the lobby and Bar Moxy area.
Requirements
- Confident guest-facing communication and the ability to interact politely and professionally with a wide variety of visitors.
- Practical experience with front desk workflows such as arrivals, departures, reservation handling, and payment processing.
- Good telephone manners and the ability to respond effectively to calls, messages, and guest questions.
- Basic administrative ability, including data entry, records management, and use of common office or hotel systems.
- Prior exposure to hospitality, front office, or another customer-facing environment is beneficial.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, depending on operational needs.
- Strong attention to detail, solid problem-solving ability, and composure in a busy hotel setting.
- Fluent English is required; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
