Product Designer, Bumble Date

Role overview

Bumble is hiring a Product Designer for the Bumble Date team in Austin, Texas. This role focuses on shaping the experience of the company’s flagship dating product so it feels safe, uplifting, simple to use, and genuinely human. You will partner with product managers, engineers, user researchers, and other designers to create experiences that help people form meaningful relationships with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Own the full design process for customer journeys, from early concepts through interaction design, visual design, and final implementation.
• Turn product direction, research findings, and customer insights into clear interaction models, polished high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes that communicate design intent.
• Work closely with user researchers, product managers, and engineers across discovery, synthesis, iteration, and delivery.
• Design experiences with attention to how they look, feel, behave, and what they communicate to users.
• Help develop shared UX patterns and design system components to improve consistency and quality across the product.
• Use AI tools carefully to support exploration, prototype concepts, and responsibly personalize experiences.
• Present design choices clearly and explain how they support user needs, product goals, and Bumble’s values.
• Act on feedback constructively, iterate with intention, and maintain a growth-oriented approach throughout the design cycle.
• Model Bumble’s values of Respect, Curiosity, and Joy in your work and in collaboration with others.

Requirements

• Generally, 3+ years of experience is expected, though equivalent alternative experience is also welcomed.
• Strong visual design and interaction design ability, with work that is refined, thoughtful, and carefully crafted.
• Developing product thinking, including the ability to ask why before deciding how.
• Comfort working in cross-functional teams with clear communication and a collaborative mindset.
• Hands-on experience with Figma and modern prototyping tools.
• Open-minded approach to new methods and emerging technologies.
• Inclusive design and accessibility treated as core principles.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and proactive communication.
• A design approach aligned with Bumble’s values of Joy, Courage, and Curiosity.
