Role Summary

This role is responsible for creating and supporting interactive dashboards and reports for internal teams and external clients. The selected candidate will work closely with department leaders to understand business needs and turn them into reporting solutions that help drive better decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Develop Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and reports for internal functions such as HR, finance, utilization, and performance tracking, as well as client-facing reporting

  • Build and maintain Power BI datasets, data models, and DAX calculations
  • Administer Power BI Service tasks such as publishing, scheduled refresh setup, permission control, and report lifecycle oversight
  • Connect to data sources including Excel, SQL databases, SharePoint, and accounting/ERP platforms, then transform the data with Power Query (M language)
  • Create organized, efficient, and reusable data models using star schema or other dimensional modeling approaches
  • Record data sources, transformation steps, and refresh schedules so reports remain dependable and auditable
  • Spot data quality problems and work with source system owners to correct them

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Accounting/Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a similar field
  • Proven exposure to Power BI through coursework, capstone work, internships, or independent projects, with readiness to share examples of work
  • Practical understanding of DAX, including measures, calculated columns, and KPIs
  • Hands-on experience using Power Query (M language) to connect to and reshape data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining insights to non-technical audiences
