Role Overview

We are seeking diligent Operators to join our team in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. This role involves operating machinery and ensuring smooth production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage machinery for coil processing, including loading coils onto uncoilers.
• Feed and guide coil material to the leveller and subsequent machinery.
• Ensure proper looping and feeding of material to the shear for cut-to-length operations.
• Stack processed materials and apply identification labels to each pallet.
• Adhere to inspection norms and practices, and interpret relevant data, including EPPS data, PFD, and CP.
• Utilize required measuring instruments and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs).
• Implement 5S practices to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
• Record relevant data using the IT system.
• For Crane Operator responsibilities: Handle coils up to 30 MT, ensuring safe loading and unloading.
• Place coils in designated storage areas and unpack them without causing damage.
• Identify coil stickers and understand line requirements for processing.
• Pack slits for dispatch with the packing team, meeting required rates.
• Perform condition-based monitoring to anticipate and report potential crane issues.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to debug minor problems.
• Adhere to safe handling procedures and practices.
• Weigh incoming coils and record accurate differences, as well as weigh finished goods (coils/slits) and note correct values.

Knowledge Required

• Understanding of manufacturing processes and customer requirements.
• Product knowledge and awareness of end applications.
• Familiarity with inspection processes and line operating procedures.
• Basic technical knowledge of machinery.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for data recording.
