About the Role
This position is for an experienced microbiologist who can support the training of AI models. The work involves checking how AI chatbots are progressing, judging the reasoning behind their answers, and solving problems that help improve model quality.
Subject Matter Expertise
A strong background in biology is essential. Suitable related areas include Microbiology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Physiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, and Environmental Science.
What You Can Expect
- You can decide which projects to take on and when to work on them.
- You will work independently on your own schedule and use your own computer from home.
- Compensation starts at $40+ USD per hour, with bonus rates available on some projects.
Responsibilities
- Pose challenging biology questions to AI chatbots and review the responses they generate.
- Assess AI model output for accuracy and overall performance.
Qualifications
- Strong written and spoken English at a native or bilingual level.
- Sharp attention to detail.
- Knowledge of cell biology, genetics, physiology, molecular biology, biotechnology, environmental models, and experimental methods.
- A Master’s or PhD that is current, in progress, or completed is preferred, though not mandatory.
Additional Information
Payment is processed through PayPal, which also manages any currency conversion from USD. Applicants will not be asked for any payment. This opportunity is open only to candidates located in Canada. The role is an independent contractor arrangement.
