Manager, Player Development

Role overview

DraftKings is building with AI at the center of how teams work, make decisions, and create better customer experiences. The company is looking for a Player Development Manager to strengthen the VIP team, guide Player Development Executives and VIP Hosts, and help grow net revenue through proactive sales activity and excellent service for both new and existing VIP customers. This role also plays a key part in improving processes, driving innovation, and partnering across functions to deliver better outcomes.

What you will do

• Support VIP revenue growth by improving key sales metrics, deepening customer relationships, and contributing to market share and net revenue.
• Help refine processes and compliance practices that increase efficiency, strengthen operations, and improve service quality, while also coaching the team for better performance.
• Partner with Analytics teams to review reinvestment initiatives such as promotions and reward programs, checking reports against actual transactions.
• Support VIP leadership in building and rolling out sales training programs.
• Take part in escalation handling, working with customers and internal teams to resolve client issues.
• Lead a strong-performing team through coaching, clear feedback, and a practical, solution-focused management style.

What you need

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in Gaming, Hospitality, Sales, or Marketing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading a sales team with strong communication, coaching, and performance management skills.
• Solid knowledge of the product offering and the ability to spot and apply ideas that improve efficiency and revenue.
• Proven experience coaching teams to deliver excellent customer experiences and consistent sales behavior.
• Ability to obtain and keep the required State Gaming Licenses.
