Manager (Operations Support)

Role overview

This position leads the administrative and support functions behind the Medical Classification Centre (MCC). The role is focused on ensuring that contracting, purchasing, workforce planning, and IT support all work together smoothly to back clinical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle detailed agreements with healthcare organisations, making sure they meet operational needs and comply with required standards.
• Direct purchasing activities for medical equipment and logistics so that operational readiness is consistently maintained.
• Oversee manpower sourcing and planning to support the growth and coverage of clinical front-line operations.
• Manage IT systems used by the back office and ensure they are properly integrated and performing reliably.
• Maintain strong administrative standards across all support areas to keep back-office functions running efficiently.

Role challenges

• Working through complex procurement and contract processes while still meeting urgent timelines in a demanding medical environment.
• Reconciling different stakeholder expectations while upholding high organisational standards under pressure.

What the organisation is seeking

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in contract management and procurement is preferred.
• Prior exposure to back-office work in a medical or healthcare environment is an advantage.
• Good understanding of procurement procedures and contract management frameworks.
• Strong capability in IT systems administration and management.
