Laundry Aide - FT - Evening

About the Role

Chelsey Park Health & Rehab is hiring a full-time evening Laundry Aide in Dahlonega, Georgia. The position is part of a non-profit, mission-driven setting focused on high-quality care and a supportive workplace where team members are recognized for their contributions.

Key Duties

• Sort and fold clothing and linen items.
• Place garments on racks using the correct names and identifying numbers.
• Make sure residents’ clothing is clean, ready to use, and any damaged items are set aside appropriately.
• Use the right soaps and bleaching agents based on their purpose.
• Follow all safety directions listed on MSDS sheets for chemicals used in the laundry area.
• Wash and dry clothing and linens.
• Maintain clean equipment and follow scheduled cleaning routines.
• Sweep and mop the laundry room.
• Empty washers and dryers when asked.
• Clean and disinfect linen carts when requested.
• Handle stain removal tasks.
• Support the organization’s reputation by showing servant leadership and maintaining open, direct communication.
• Take part in committees, workgroups, project teams, and other collaborative efforts as needed.
• Carry out additional duties when required to help the organization succeed.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is preferred.

Language, Math, and Reasoning

Applicants should be able to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance guides, and procedure documents. The job also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively in front of groups, and apply basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Candidates should be able to use common sense to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and solve routine problems in standard situations.

Computer Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word is required.

Physical Requirements
