Role Overview
MyPT is looking for an HR Assistant to help manage recruitment and onboarding from start to finish. The position plays a key part in attracting suitable talent, moving candidates through the hiring process, preparing joining paperwork, and making sure new hires are smoothly introduced into the company.
Recruitment Support
- Assess incoming CVs and narrow them down against the role criteria.
- Carry out first-round phone screenings with candidates.
- Set up interviews in coordination with hiring managers.
- Keep the recruitment tracker current and accurate.
- Stay in touch with applicants and hiring teams during the hiring cycle.
- Help maintain a steady pool of potential candidates for future hiring needs.
Offer and Documentation
- Draft and send offer letters to selected candidates.
- Gather and check employment documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Support contract preparation and joining procedures.
- Make sure employee files are complete and meet compliance requirements before the start date.
Onboarding Coordination
- Organise onboarding and induction activities for new hires.
- Create onboarding checklists and schedules.
- Explain company policies, procedures, and systems to new employees.
- Arrange any required onboarding training.
- Confirm that all onboarding steps are finished before handing the employee over to the relevant department.
HR Administration
- Update employee records and HR databases.
- Prepare reports related to recruitment and onboarding.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
- Handle employee information with discretion and confidentiality.
Requirements
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
- Between 0 and 2 years of experience in HR or recruitment.
- Experience in fitness, health, wellness, hospitality, or another service-focused business is an added advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good people skills.
- Well-developed organisational and coordination abilities.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to stay effective in a fast-moving workplace.
- Positive mindset and eagerness to learn and develop.
