With more than 160 professionals, it emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and inclusion across its global network.
Role overview
The Dubai office is seeking a GC Analyst to examine consumer fragrance products through GC-MS, identify volatile and semi-volatile aroma components, and help rebuild well-balanced accords that are ready for use in fine fragrance, personal care, air care, and home care applications.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will analyze fragrances across fine fragrance, personal care, air care, and home care categories using GC-MS and GC-FID. You will also support perfumers in rebuilding fragrance formulas, assess dosage levels in fine fragrance samples, extract and evaluate fragrances from personal care and household items, and study perfumery raw materials. A further part of the job is maintaining the internal analytical database, carrying out regular upkeep, calibration, and troubleshooting of GC-MS and GC-FID equipment, and working closely with the Perfumery, Compounding Laboratory, Application, QC, R&D, and Evaluation teams.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, preferably with a focus on chemical analysis. A master’s qualification in perfumery will be considered an advantage. The role calls for professional experience in GC analysis and related software, along with around 4 years of experience in the fragrance industry working with perfumery raw materials and/or fragrances and prior GC/MS exposure. Experience in the Middle East market is helpful, though applicants from outside the GCC region are also welcome. Practical laboratory experience, familiarity with extraction techniques, a basic grasp of GSM testing equipment, and knowledge of fragrances and essential oils are expected. The candidate should be flexible, well organized, solution-oriented, customer-focused, fluent in English, and comfortable using MS Office.
