Financial Analyst

Role Overview

This is a part-time, remote position for a Financial Analyst with The Orator's Club - LNCT. The role focuses on helping with budgeting and financial planning for club events, initiatives, and day-to-day operating needs.

What You’ll Do

• Review financial information to identify trends, patterns, and useful insights.
• Track income and spending, and keep an eye on budget performance.
• Prepare straightforward financial summaries and reports.
• Support the checking of financial statements to ensure they are accurate and aligned with internal rules.
• Work with club leaders and coordinators to share data-backed input for planning and decision-making.
• Build simple financial models to assist with forecasting and resource allocation.
• Monitor important financial indicators and recommend ways to improve cost efficiency and long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of finance and a good grasp of financial planning concepts.
• Strong analytical ability and the capacity to understand financial statements.
• Familiarity with financial reporting, budgeting, or forecasting basics.
• Comfort using spreadsheets or financial tools such as Excel or Google Sheets and working with numerical data.
• Strong eye for detail, clear communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote part-time setup.
• Background through coursework or experience in finance, accounting, economics, or a related area is helpful; prior involvement in student clubs or organizations is an added advantage.
