Role Summary

The business is looking for a detail-oriented and forward-thinking Chartered Accountant to join its finance function in Dubai as Group Finance Manager. The position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records for the UK and Dubai operations, while ensuring strong governance, compliance, and reporting discipline across both markets.

This role calls for a fully qualified accounting professional with a solid grasp of financial requirements in the UK and UAE. The successful candidate should be able to connect both jurisdictions effectively and must have at least one year of direct work experience in the UK financial environment.

Key Accountabilities

• Take full responsibility for the preparation and submission of year-end accounts.
• Manage the organisation’s financial health and oversee end-to-end financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual balance sheets to support business performance tracking.
• Handle corporate tax filings and VAT submissions while ensuring compliance across both regions.
• Monitor financial reporting in line with IFRS standards.
• Develop financial models, budgets, and rolling cash flow forecasts to support planning.
• Perform variance analysis and present findings to senior leadership for decision-making.
• Act as the main contact for external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities in the UAE and the UK.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and process efficiency.
• Maintain and improve ERP or accounting software usage to streamline finance operations.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 5 years of progressive post-qualification experience in finance or accounting management.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience working in the UK market, including exposure to accounting practices, HMRC requirements, GAAP or IFRS-related work.
• Proven ability to work within tight reporting timelines and manage weekly, monthly, and annual closing cycles.
• Fully qualified professional accounting certification accepted in both the UK and UAE, such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA, or an equivalent chartered qualification.
• Must be available to work full-time from the Dubai office and able to join immediately.

Compliance and Tax Coverage

The role includes responsibility for UAE corporate tax compliance, FTA VAT requirements, and any continuing UK tax obligations or cross-border tax matters relevant to the company’s structure.
