About the role
DSTA is looking for motivated engineers to help create and field advanced aerospace capabilities that support national security. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, integration, testing, and operational deployment of technology solutions with meaningful impact.
The work includes bringing next-generation aerospace defence systems onto platforms such as fighter aircraft, helicopters, and mission aircraft. These systems are intended to strengthen air dominance and support mission outcomes, including peacekeeping and humanitarian operations. You may also work on integrating precision guidance technologies across different platforms to improve capability and efficiency.
What you'll do
- Lead or support engineering work across design, development, testing, and delivery of advanced technical solutions.
- Bring together best-fit systems and technologies from around the world into integrated, mission-ready capabilities.
- Assess emerging technologies and determine how they can be operationalised effectively.
- Make sure solutions meet strict expectations for airworthiness, performance, safety, and dependability.
- Work closely with organisations, companies, and research partners in Singapore and overseas to co-develop new technologies.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong interest in using modern aerospace technologies such as additive manufacturing, data engineering, artificial intelligence, and autonomy to strengthen defence capabilities.
- Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills and move into emerging technology areas.
- A proactive personality with solid interpersonal skills and a practical, can-do attitude.
- Willingness to travel for overseas work assignments.
Additional information
This role is based in Singapore and is a full-time, on-site position. Candidates will work in a cross-disciplinary engineering team with guidance from experienced mentors.
