Electrical Maintenance Technician

Role overview

An established healthcare facility in Cork is looking to appoint a qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician to support its Facilities team. This is a permanent, long-term role in a controlled, highly regulated environment, where you will help keep essential building services and electrical infrastructure operating safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance as well as urgent fault-finding and repairs across electrical systems and building services.
• Service and diagnose issues with electrical distribution networks, generators, UPS units, HVAC and air-conditioning equipment, and related plant.
• Attend equipment breakdowns and take part in the site’s on-call arrangement.
• Work with external contractors and collaborate with colleagues across other maintenance disciplines.
• Record maintenance activity accurately in CMMS and BMS platforms.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with health, safety, and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Fully qualified electrician with a completed apprenticeship or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Practical experience in facilities, building services, or general maintenance work.
• Solid understanding of electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems, and HVAC equipment.
• Prior exposure to Building Management Systems would be an advantage.
• A dependable, hands-on approach with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
