What the job involves

• Prepare customer orders across the fresh food sections, including sandwiches, rolls, hot food, and sliced meats, while following the store’s portion-control guidelines.
• Cook, prepare, and present food throughout the day.
• Maintain excellent counter presentation standards across all fresh food areas at all times.
• Offer product knowledge, recipe ideas, and personal recommendations to customers to help showcase the quality of the food.
• Handle customer questions and concerns promptly, professionally, and in line with store procedures.
• Represent the Centra values of being proud, energetic, imaginative, and community-focused in day-to-day work.

Candidate profile

The employer is looking for someone with strong communication skills, the ability to work well in a busy team environment, and confidence in handling multiple tasks under pressure. A genuine interest in food and the ability to encourage and inspire shoppers will also be important. Prior customer service experience is beneficial, and HACCP training is preferred but not essential.
