Role overview
Based at Apex Car Rentals in Queenstown, this full-time position offers a mix of customer-facing work and hands-on operational tasks. The role suits someone with strong service skills who is comfortable working hard in a varied environment rather than staying behind a counter all day.
Working pattern
The business runs seven days a week on a rotating roster. You must be available for early starts from 8:00 am, afternoon shifts, evening shifts up to 6:30 pm, as well as weekends and public holidays when needed.

- This is a permanent full-time role.
- You will work 40 hours per week, typically across five 8-hour shifts.
- This is an entry-level position with training included.

What the role involves
As a Rental Operations Agent, you will support both the front desk and back-of-house functions. At the counter, you will deal with customers, promote products and services, and handle rental contracts, transactions, and bookings. Away from the counter, you will inspect vehicles for damage or maintenance concerns, move and park vehicles, and clean both the inside and outside of cars in the wash bay so they are ready for customers.
Pay and benefits
The hourly pay starts at NZD 27.70, with the opportunity to earn more through a sales incentive programme. You will also receive a uniform and parking. Additional requirements
A full, clean and valid Class 1 driver’s licence is required. You should have previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or a similar environment.
