Role overview

This is a practical, high-ownership Controller position for a finance professional who has worked in multi-location restaurant accounting and knows Restaurant365 (R365) very well. Key responsibilities

  • Take charge of financial reporting on a weekly and monthly basis for every location.

  • Maintain financial statements in line with GAAP requirements.
  • Serve as the internal owner for Restaurant365 accounting.
  • Oversee purchasing, accounts payable, and invoice processing workflows.
  • Ensure smooth connections between POS, payroll, and banking systems, including Toast.
  • Promote consistent system usage across all stores.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and general ledger across all entities.
  • Own journal entries such as accruals, prepaids, payroll entries, allocations, and intercompany activity.
  • Track and reconcile inventory movements and transfers.
  • Monitor daily cash deposit verification and investigate exceptions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and gift cards.
  • Manage accounts receivable processes, including credit card and third-party delivery platform receivables.
