Role overview

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced mental health practitioner to join its Core CAMHS Neurodevelopmental team in Salford. The post focuses on supporting neurodivergent children and young people, including work connected to autism and ADHD assessment, while also helping families through the wider care journey.

The service supports children, young people, and families up to the age of 18 who present with a broad range of emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs. The team operates from Pendleton Gateway in the centre of Salford.

What the role involves

You will work independently at Band 6 level while contributing as part of a multidisciplinary team. The post calls for someone who can manage complex presentations, assess risk, and provide practical intervention and case management for vulnerable young people and their families.

The role requires strong experience in CAMHS, along with proven work with neurodivergent young people. You should be confident assessing complex mental health difficulties, recognising levels of risk, and working safely where safeguarding and self-harm concerns may be present.
