Role summary

This position focuses on managing purchase requests for materials and services in line with technical requirements, agreed pricing, delivery timelines, and contractual terms. The role supports purchasing operations under supervision while making sure all activity follows company procurement policies and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Help source and identify new vendors, and work with the relevant category team during supplier onboarding.
  • Support the qualification of new suppliers together with Supplier Quality and Engineering teams.
  • Assist in negotiating agreements with key suppliers and periodically update price lists, terms, and conditions, while sharing suggestions for next steps.
  • Adjust the standard contracting framework to suit local business requirements and recommend frame agreements for management approval.
  • Review and assess bids within the assigned scope to identify the best overall value.
  • Support bid and proposal teams by supplying market intelligence relevant to the assigned area.
  • Monitor receipts of goods to confirm correct delivery and support invoice processing as per guidelines.
  • Track supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and lead time, and help resolve or escalate performance concerns.
  • Create supply orders in the system, confirm deliveries with suppliers, and follow up on purchase order compliance.
  • Ensure supplier orders match customer needs and project or ERP/SOP requirements in terms of scope, quality, schedule, sustainability, and cost.
  • Carry out supply chain activities for goods and services in line with policies and procedures.
  • Keep the supplier relationship management platform updated according to the applicable process.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and integrity by taking ownership of actions and supporting colleagues and the business.

Requirements

  • Graduate or postgraduate qualification in any discipline.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Ariba, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Exposure to JAGGAER is an added advantage.
