About the internship
This in-office internship is focused on business development and merchant sales for a fintech and business technology company. The role involves building merchant relationships, creating qualified sales opportunities, and supporting the activation of payment and business solutions across India.
What you'll do
- Reach out to prospective merchants using phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and social media channels.
- Build qualified leads for payment gateway, payout, and other business payment offerings.
- Arrange product demonstrations and sales meetings for the team.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with interested merchants and keep the sales pipeline active.
- Record updates in CRM tools and lead-tracking sheets every day.
- Present the company’s services clearly and gather the merchant’s basic business needs.
- Work with the onboarding team to help ensure smooth merchant activation.
- Meet weekly and monthly lead-generation goals.

Requirements
- BBA, MBA, BCom, BCA, or similar students/graduates are preferred.
- Strong Hindi communication is important; English communication skills are an added advantage.
- You should be comfortable making cold calls and speaking with merchants.
- Interest in fintech, sales, and startup-style environments is preferred.
- We are looking for candidates who are goal-driven and self-motivated.
Stipend and payout structure
The internship offers a monthly stipend of INR 9,000 to 22,000. The compensation structure includes a fixed component of ₹8,000 to ₹12,000 per month plus incentive pay of ₹1,000 to ₹10,000 per month.
