Overview
Aarorn Technologies Inc is seeking a Business Systems Analyst focused on the telecom domain. This contract role is based in Calgary, Alberta, with an expectation to work on-site three days per week. The pay rate is CAD 50 to 55 per hour, inclusive.
What You’ll Do
- Work with decision-makers, system owners, and end users to understand business, financial, and operational needs, while also identifying and resolving system issues.
- Facilitate design discussions for new system prototypes that improve business workflows, operations, and information movement.
- Assess how well current systems perform, then recommend ways to improve them or use them more effectively.
- Define the boundaries and criteria for systems analysis so outcomes can be measured and tracked.
- Coach and support other business analysts working on the platform.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent background.
- At least 7 years of experience in a software development setting.
- At least 7 years working in mixed development approaches such as Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative.
- Strong knowledge of the telecommunications sector, including cable, internet, telephony, and wireless.
- Excellent grasp of organizational goals and objectives.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving ability.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, along with active listening.
- Dependable follow-through and task monitoring habits.
- Strong organizational, planning, presentation, and facilitation skills across different levels of the organization.
- Solid technical ability, with the confidence to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good understanding of business processes, business rules, and how they contribute to success.
- Positive, customer-oriented mindset with the flexibility to adapt to change.
- Comfort working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and handling difficult situations with professionalism, empathy, and integrity.
- Ability to learn new business and technical concepts quickly.
- Comfortable in a collaborative, fast-moving, and constantly changing team environment.
Additional Information
This position is a contract engagement in Calgary, Alberta, with hybrid onsite expectations of three days per week. An AI tool may support parts of the recruitment workflow, but final hiring decisions are made by the recruitment team after a full review of candidates.
