Position Overview
A premium casual dining restaurant in Dubai is looking for a Bakery Commis to join its kitchen team. The role focuses on supporting bread and pastry production in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
Key Duties
- Assist with measuring, mixing, scaling, and baking artisan breads and pastries based on standard recipes.
- Prepare ingredients and organize work areas efficiently to keep up with catering and delivery demands.
- Follow strict HACCP food safety procedures and ensure every item is presented consistently.
- Support senior chefs with stock tracking, upkeep of equipment, and overall kitchen cleanliness and order.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on bakery experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen.
- A recognized pastry qualification or a culinary diploma/degree is needed.
- Good practical knowledge of artisan baking, sourdough preparation, and pastry fundamentals.
