Role Summary
The Technical Buyer is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and arranging spare parts, while also finding suitable repair support from local repair providers. The role works closely with service technicians to make sure parts and accessory requirements are met quickly and accurately.
Key Accountabilities
- Work with service technicians to understand and fulfill their needs for parts and accessories.
- Support technician requests by locating, ordering, and arranging prompt supply of required parts.
- Suggest related components and accessories that may be needed to complete the work effectively.
- Carry out physical checks and testing of equipment and vehicles after service, including evaluation of the engine, gearbox, steering, brakes, instruments, and related functions.
- Provide parts pricing details on repair orders.
- Inform service staff when special-order items or delayed parts arrive.
- Make sure parts and repairs comply with manufacturer specifications and requirements.
Education and Experience
A completed secondary education (12 years) with a recognized mechanical training course is mandatory.
Applicants should bring 4 years of experience in maintenance and repair work involving mechanical assemblies as well as pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Communication Requirements
Strong communication ability is needed across email, phone, and other channels.
