About the Company

Gellert Global Group is a family of leading North American food importing businesses, including Atalanta Corporation, Camerican International, Finica, and Tipico Cheese Products. With more than a century of food import experience and combined annual revenue above $1.7 billion, the group supports retailers, distributors, food service chains, hotels, cruise lines, and food manufacturers through capabilities in sourcing, insurance, finance, logistics, food safety, and information technology.

Role Summary

The Supply Chain Coordinator handles a broad range of post-order administrative activities tied to purchase orders. This role works closely with overseas and domestic suppliers to confirm order quantities, pricing, production dates, best-before dates, and shipment timing, while acting as a bridge between procurement, import clearance, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter, review, and maintain purchase order shipment confirmations and cargo records before transferring files to the import clearance team.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain packing lists and certificates of analysis in shared digital folders so they are easy to find and use.
  • Ensure suppliers meet document deadlines by providing ISF data, packing lists, and commercial invoices 72 hours before departure for international shipments, and packing lists 24 hours before departure for domestic shipments.
  • Record, check, and keep up to date all cargo and lot details related to production dates and best-before dates.
  • Track open purchase orders and shipping instructions, flagging delays and following up with suppliers and buyers when needed.
  • Work with logistics teams to resolve transportation issues and shipment-related challenges.
  • Support the review and approval process for supplier invoices.
  • Prepare and distribute inventory exception reports, including aging stock, expiring lots, and allocation holds, for buyer visibility.
  • Share COAs and other supplier certifications with Customer Service and Sales teams when requested.
  • Take on other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

The role calls for an associate degree, current progress toward a degree, or equivalent practical experience. Strong analytical ability, advanced Microsoft Office skills with a particular emphasis on Excel, clear verbal and written communication, and proven problem-solving capability are important for success.

Location Note

This position is based in Elizabeth, NJ. The company also plans to move its corporate headquarters to Madison, NJ in the first quarter of 2027, so candidates should be comfortable with that future change.

Compensation

The salary range is $52,000 to $65,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with company-paid life, accident, and long-term disability insurance and flexible spending accounts.
  • Competitive base pay, annual bonus potential, matching 401(k) with immediate vesting at enrollment, and an employee referral program.
  • Access to online training, virtual and classroom development opportunities, and education assistance.
  • Paid time off, parental leave, and flexible work schedules depending on role and location.
  • Employee engagement and recognition initiatives, wellness programs, philanthropic activities, DE&I efforts, company celebrations, and team-building events.
