Role overview
The NBA is hiring a Strategy Manager to help shape and carry out corporate strategy across the NBA, WNBA, G League, and NBA 2K League. This position focuses on developing, assessing, and driving cross-functional initiatives that support growth and create new revenue opportunities in both established and emerging parts of the business. The role works closely with senior leadership to help advance the organization’s long-term strategic agenda.
Key responsibilities
- Define priorities and build action plans for growth initiatives that involve multiple teams, working with supervisors and business leaders.
- Own project workstreams and ensure deliverables are completed on time and at a high standard across functions.
- Lead project teams by assigning work, balancing team development needs, and acting as the central point of coordination.
- Spot potential risks and roadblocks early, recommend solutions, and help protect project results.
- Create polished presentations and other deliverables that meet executive-level expectations.
- Work with senior stakeholders across the NBA, WNBA, G League, and NBA 2K League to shape and execute strategic priorities.
Experience and education
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, although equivalent professional experience may also be considered. The role requires at least 2 years of professional experience, ideally gained at a leading strategy consulting firm, investment bank, or in corporate strategy within media or entertainment.

Compensation and benefits
The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $125,000 per year. Employees are also eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus, subject to company discretion and applicable terms. Depending on eligibility, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, fertility and family-forming support, a wellbeing allowance, educational assistance, mental health coaching or therapy, tax-advantaged accounts such as an HSA and healthcare/dependent care FSAs, a 401(k) retirement plan, and time off benefits including vacation, sick leave, and personal days.
Work arrangement
The company offers eligible employees the option to work remotely one day each week.
