Role Overview
The Project Manager will lead the successful completion of data center projects, with responsibility for direction, coordination, scheduling, and overall project execution. The role centers on delivering quality work and maintaining project profitability while ensuring goals and timelines are met.
This position must be performed in line with company policies, ethical expectations, and organizational objectives. In addition to managing projects, the person in this role will support employee development, collaborate with other departments and group managers, and help strengthen customer relationships through dependable service.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is USD 95,000 to 140,000 annually. Final compensation may differ based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will bring technical and practical experience typically gained through 5 to 10 years of success in mechanical construction in roles that directly support Project Manager responsibilities.
Applicants should have a strong record in customer relationship management and problem-solving, along with solid knowledge of mechanical system operations. They should be comfortable building project plans, timelines, and scopes of work, handling change orders, monitoring project financial performance, and coordinating with trades, subcontractors, and vendors.
The role also calls for someone who can coach team members, help build staffing plans that include labor and subcontractors, work well in a team environment, and navigate computers and online systems with confidence. Strong math, communication, reasoning, and business skills are also important.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering is preferred, though equivalent education and experience may also be considered.
