Company Overview
EVSE develops smart EV charging solutions and delivers a wide range of products and services for home, business, and public charging use cases across Australia and New Zealand. With a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, the company is working to strengthen the charging ecosystem that supports the shift to electric mobility.
Exploren is Australia’s fastest expanding charging network, created to provide convenient charging for EV drivers at home, at their destination, and while traveling. As the network grows, it is helping make urban and long-distance travel more practical by increasing access to fast charging infrastructure.
Role Summary
In this role, you will work within a small, agile team to lead the complete delivery of Exploren Network Assets projects across Victoria. You will take ownership of the entire project and asset journey, covering early planning and development through to design, construction, commissioning, and final handover.
Key Duties
- Coordinate the planning and execution stages of Network Asset projects in line with the Exploren project delivery framework.
- Develop project scopes, technical specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Manage health, safety, environment, cost, timeline, and quality outcomes throughout project delivery.
- Lead site reviews, construction, and commissioning activities, working with contractors and suppliers to fix design and delivery challenges while keeping solutions aligned with safety, compliance, quality, timing, and customer expectations.
- Work with Business Development Managers to contribute technical and project input for pipelines, case studies, and tender or marketing materials.
- Keep up to date with EVSE products, technology developments, electrical and EV charging standards, and ensure all project and team activity meets health, safety, and environmental obligations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant is an experienced Project Manager with a solid track record delivering electrical infrastructure work in large commercial or industrial settings. Experience in EV charging is welcome, but adjacent backgrounds such as commercial buildings, solar PV, BESS, or HVAC are also relevant. You should be comfortable preparing and owning core delivery documents such as scopes, specifications, schedules, and estimates, while delivering safe and high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary study in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or a licensed electrician background. PMP certification is desirable, and White Card or HSE certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of capital works and infrastructure project management methods and principles, including PMBOK.
- Experience delivering LV power infrastructure, including AC and DC systems, with the ability to identify hazards, evaluate risk, and apply effective controls.
- Practical experience using health and safety and project delivery tools such as SafetyCulture, Microsoft Project, Airtable, Jira, and Confluence.
- Working knowledge of Australian electricity networks, including DNSP and TNSP environments, plus electrical design and safety standards such as AS/NZS 3000, 3008, 61439, 3017, and 3760.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across different stakeholders, build strong customer relationships, and tailor solutions to varied audiences.
- Experience creating or rolling out continuous improvement initiatives within quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
