Role Summary

The Operations Manager will be an important part of a compact and expanding team, taking end-to-end responsibility for fund operations, financial reporting, investor reporting, and governance activities across the firm’s fund vehicles. The position provides wide exposure across the fund lifecycle, including fundraising, fund formation, ongoing operations, reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of fund operations for the firm’s managed funds and act as the main operational support for fund, finance, and compliance initiatives.
  • Oversee fund administration tasks from start to finish, including investor onboarding, drawdowns, distributions, and fund payments, while working closely with external administrators.
  • Review and sign off on management accounts, financial statements, capital activity records, and other fund-related correspondence or deliverables.
  • Manage financial reporting cycles, including quarterly and annual financial statements, external audits, tax submissions, and regulatory filings.
  • Compile and coordinate quarterly investor reports in line with fund timelines.
  • Ensure reporting to limited partners, regulators, auditors, and advisors is accurate and delivered on time.
  • Support governance, legal, and compliance processes across fund structures.
  • Assist with pre-investment and divestment workflows while ensuring internal policies and controls are followed.
  • Coordinate audit activities, including valuation exercises, timeline tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Lead quarterly valuation review processes for investor reporting and coordinate closely with the investment team.
  • Contribute to new fund launches and fundraising efforts, including DDQs, data room management, and onboarding new investors with AML/KYC documentation where needed.
  • Handle strategic and ad hoc projects that support the firm’s growth, operational maturity, and wider business priorities.

Candidate Profile

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or a closely related field is required; professional credentials such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or similar are preferred.
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, fund operations, fund administration, or financial reporting within private equity, venture capital, or other alternative investment settings.
  • Solid knowledge of fund structures, fund accounting concepts, capital activity workflows, investor reporting, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Proven experience managing external audits, valuation work, and year-end reporting processes.
  • Background coordinating external service providers such as fund administrators, auditors, tax advisers, legal counsel, and company secretaries.
  • Experience supporting investor onboarding, AML/KYC checks, capital calls, distributions, and fundraising activities.
  • Prior experience in a CMS-licensed fund management firm and familiarity with Singapore fund structures and MAS regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities, with the capacity to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word; exposure to fund administration, accounting, or reporting systems is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with investors, leadership, and external partners.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Self-driven team player who can work independently, adapt quickly, and perform well in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
