Role overview

Greenwood Court Care and Nursing Home in Chelmsford, CM2 7TL, part of the Country Court family, is looking for a Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, comfortable and dignified living environment for residents. This is a part-time on-site opportunity with 40 hours per week available, including weekend work on a rota.

The home supports people with a wide range of needs and includes 64 bedrooms. The management team and care staff place a strong emphasis on personalised, respectful care so the home feels truly homely.

What the role involves

In this position, you will play an important part in the daily wellbeing of residents by keeping the home to a very high standard. The role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to notice anything that is out of place, and a commitment to ensuring clothing, bedding and rooms are maintained neatly and hygienically.

You will be responsible for laundering, pressing and folding residents’ clothing and bedding, as well as completing thorough cleaning tasks across resident rooms and other areas so that no surface is overlooked.

Experience examples

Previous experience as a housekeeper or laundry assistant is welcomed, but it is not required. Other relevant backgrounds may include cleaning, domestic support, maintenance cleaning, hospital cleaning, or similar roles.
