General Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and energetic General Manager to steer the performance, expansion, and profitability of a diversified group operating in contracting, general transport, and other connected business lines. This role calls for a leader with deep expertise in business management, strategic planning, operational oversight, and business growth, along with a strong record of building capable teams and bringing in new business.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

You will be expected to guide multiple business units, support cross-functional teams, and help the organization strengthen its market position. The position also requires a practical understanding of commercial performance, client acquisition, and the ability to make sound decisions that support long-term growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management, or a closely related discipline is required; a master’s degree will be considered an added advantage.
• You should bring 10 to 15 years of senior management experience, ideally gained in contracting, transport, or a diversified group environment in the UAE.
• A demonstrated history of generating business, winning customers, and improving revenue is essential.
• Strong leadership capability, confident decision-making, and effective team management are important for success in this role.
• A solid understanding of UAE business rules and market conditions is necessary.
• Hands-on experience managing several business units and working with teams across different functions is required.
• Sound financial understanding and commercial judgment are key expectations.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination skills are needed.
• A UAE driving licence is preferred.
