Role Overview
Insight Global is looking for a seasoned Event Manager to take end-to-end responsibility for planning and delivering a range of corporate events. This role covers everything from smaller programs to large-scale experiences such as user conferences, sales kickoff meetings, roadshows, incentive trips, and similar business events.
The position requires strong command of event operations, including client-facing coordination, venue and production management, hotel room block oversight, vendor handling, and contract discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of assigned events and lead both planning and execution.
- Coordinate work across internal teams such as Registration, Platform, Sponsorship, IS, Air, and Finance.
- Track the event budget, manage invoicing, monitor payment schedules, and prepare cost-savings updates.
- Maintain the overall agenda and keep communication aligned across all internal and external stakeholders.
- Build, update, and manage the event project plan and timeline.
- Participate in client and internal meetings, including status reviews, pre-event walkthroughs, onsite discussions, and post-event debriefs.
- Keep client and internal deliverables moving so deadlines and milestones are met.
- Handle venue logistics such as meeting space allocation, room setup, diagrams, food and beverage, electrical needs, and internet access.
- Coordinate with DMCs and third-party vendors, including AV, production, entertainment, IT/internet, photography, printing, security, shipping, translation, and transportation.
- Oversee content coordination, graphic development, production of event collateral, and signage.
- Create budgets, arrange itineraries, and lead site inspections.
Requirements
- A four-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
- At least 2 to 5 years of background in event management, meeting planning, or hospitality.
- 1 to 2 years of direct client management experience in a professional setting.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% to 50%.
