Equity Analyst

Role overview

A regional financial services company is seeking an Equity Analyst or Senior Equity Analyst to join its team in Singapore or Malaysia. The position focuses on in-depth equity coverage, financial analysis, and client-facing market insights.

Core responsibilities

• Perform detailed fundamental research on SGX-listed businesses across a range of industries.
• Develop and update financial models, valuation tools, and profit forecasts with strong attention to detail.
• Create polished research notes, investment views, and regular updates on sectors under coverage.
• Discuss sector themes, market movements, and stock ideas with clients.
• Take part in company presentations, management discussions, and relevant industry forums.
• Track sector trends, competitor activity, and broader economic factors that influence the coverage universe.

Candidate profile

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a closely related area is required.
• About 2 to 8 years of experience in equity research or equity analysis is preferred.
• Strong capability in financial modelling, valuation analysis, and research interpretation is essential.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills are needed for report writing and client interaction.
• CFA Level I completion or active progress toward the CFA qualification is considered an advantage.
• Applicants currently based in Singapore or Malaysia are encouraged to apply.
