This position sits at the junction of sales and field delivery, turning approved project ideas into buildable plans and detailed visual presentations. You will take ownership of the drafting process, create presentation-quality 3D visuals, and help ensure every design is accurate, practical, and ready for construction.

What you'll do

• Convert signed-off sales requests into detailed structural drawings that crews can use in the field.
• Create polished 3D renderings that clearly show clients the design intent and construction details.
• Develop structurally appropriate plans using deck construction and custom outdoor-build techniques.
• Work with the technical team to identify and correct plan issues before they reach the jobsite.
• Use specialized drafting and design tools to keep project output moving efficiently and in an organized way.
• Revise blueprints as needed to reflect customer changes or site-based adjustments.

Experience and qualifications

• Professional background using CAD, SketchUp, Enscape, or similar architectural drafting software.
• Practical knowledge of deck building, framing, and residential outdoor construction methods.
• Ability to manage technical design work independently without entry-level oversight.
• At least 3 years of drafting and 3D modeling experience in a construction setting is preferred.
• Strong capability in producing realistic materials, lighting, and environmental textures for client-facing presentations.

Compensation and benefits

• Annual salary range of $55,000 to $90,000, depending on structural design experience.
• Uncapped commission structure.
