About the Role
Avanceon is seeking a proficient Data Engineer / BI Developer with substantial experience in SQL Development, ETL Processes, and Tableau Reporting to become a valuable member of our expanding team. The successful candidate will possess a robust database foundation and practical experience in creating reporting solutions, consolidating data from various systems, and constructing interactive dashboards to aid in business and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and manage intricate SQL queries, views, stored procedures, functions, and database jobs.
- Architect and refine databases, reporting schemas, and data models.
- Develop ETL pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources.
- Design and build Tableau dashboards, reports, and KPI monitoring systems.
- Create optimized Tableau data sources, calculations, filters, and drill-down functionalities.
- Conduct query tuning, performance enhancements, and data verification.
- Collaborate effectively with Business Analysts, Developers, GIS Specialists, SCADA Engineers, and Customer Teams to deliver comprehensive reporting and analytics solutions.
- Provide support for data analysis, issue resolution, and reporting improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline.
- Accumulate over 5 years of professional experience in SQL Development, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Reporting Solutions.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in: Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Query Optimization, Database Design & Data Modeling.
- Exhibit hands-on experience with ETL development and data integration methodologies.
- Showcase practical experience in Tableau Dashboard and Report Development.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Have prior experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with both MSSQL and Oracle databases.
- Experience utilizing SSIS or comparable ETL tools.
- Proficiency with Tableau.
- Experience with version control and project management tools such as GitHub and JIRA.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, onsite position located in Qatar.
