Construction Manager

Job Summary

This role is accountable for steering the execution stage of building projects from site mobilization through completion. The position ensures that construction is delivered in line with approved designs, schedule commitments, quality expectations, and budget objectives. It also involves leading project engineers, site engineers, and foremen so that all site activities follow project requirements, local authority rules, and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities to make sure work follows approved drawings, project specifications, and method statements.
• Coordinate the deployment of manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors according to the project programme so work continues without disruption.
• Provide technical direction to project engineers and site engineers, including work sequencing and resolution of on-site execution issues.
• Track site progress against the approved baseline schedule, spot delays early, and put recovery measures in place with the planning team.
• Assess and sign off detailed method statements, inspection and test plans, and work procedures submitted by the project team or subcontractors.
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards on site in coordination with the HSE team.
• Work with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications related to site execution.
• Carry out routine site walkthroughs to verify workmanship quality, design compliance, and correct material usage.
• Address coordination issues between civil, MEP, and finishes works to keep execution smooth and reduce rework.
• Review the performance of site engineers and foremen, coach them technically, and ensure accountability for assigned tasks.
• Make sure shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and other execution-related documents are submitted on time.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams so materials and equipment arrive on site as required.
• Handle site-driven variations and change orders together with the commercial and quantity surveying teams.
• Ensure proper interface management between structural, architectural, and MEP works during the build phase.
• Check as-built drawings prepared by site engineers and confirm that site changes are documented accurately.
• Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on progress, risks, resource needs, and technical matters affecting delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• At least 13 years of experience in building construction is needed, including a minimum of 7 years in Dubai.
• A strong history of completing high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use projects is essential.
• Good understanding of UAE authority approval procedures, including Trakhees, DDA, Dubai Municipality, and similar bodies, is expected.

Additional Information

This position is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is a full-time on-site role. The role requires close coordination across site teams, consultants, clients, subcontractors, procurement, logistics, planning, commercial, and HSE functions to ensure successful project delivery.
