Role Overview
The Construction Estimator will take the lead on bidding activities for both conceptual and hard-bid estimates across a range of projects in the Greater Madison area. This role is intended for someone with strong estimating experience who can also contribute to the growth and development of the estimating function through new ideas and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage bidding efforts for conceptual and hard-bid estimates across multiple market segments in the Madison area.
Support the continued development of the estimating department by contributing ideas, improvements, and initiatives.
Prepare accurate estimates using estimating tools, office software, and takeoff solutions.
Work closely with project stakeholders to support competitive and well-developed bids.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related discipline is expected.
At least 5 years of estimating experience is required.
Experience handling both hard-bid and conceptual estimating is necessary.
Strong technical ability with Microsoft Office, Excel, estimating database software, and Onscreen takeoff is needed.
Compensation and Benefits
The stated salary range for this role is $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
