Role overview
Nexon Asia Pacific is seeking a driven and well-connected Business Development Manager to join its Melbourne sales team. This position suits a high-energy sales professional with strong discipline and a proven history of winning new clients. You will be responsible for uncovering and qualifying sales opportunities, shaping persuasive solutions that align with customer needs, and driving proposals through to successful closure.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers.
- Prioritise new business growth while taking a strategic approach to expanding accounts across the territory.
- Spot and assess opportunities for Nexon solutions.
- Create differentiated proposals that clearly address customer and prospect requirements.
- Partner with vendor sales representatives to jointly position and sell solutions when needed.
- Oversee the full sales cycle, collaborating with pre-sales and bid managers where required.
- Maintain and develop a healthy opportunity pipeline in the CRM system.
- Consistently achieve and surpass sales goals and KPI targets.
Required experience and capabilities
- At least 8 years of business development management experience in the IT sector.
- Demonstrated success in strategic, solution-led selling across several technology areas.
- A strong hunter mindset with the ability to actively pursue new business.
- Well-established network across vendor and customer contacts.
- Independent, self-motivated, and target-focused professional who can work autonomously.
- Ability to generate leads independently and build marketing-qualified opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Clear record of delivering strong sales results.
