Role Purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the accuracy of inventory, upholding safety standards, and coordinating effectively with various departments to achieve company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all daily warehouse activities, including inventory management, order processing, and shipment handling, ensuring efficiency and precision.
- Implement and enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and operational standards to maintain a secure and organized work environment.
- Liaise with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to ensure warehouse operations align with overall company goals and customer demands.
- Review, validate, and record supplier invoices and expenses, submitting them to management for prompt approval and processing.
- Provide comprehensive training and ongoing development for warehouse personnel, assessing performance to uphold high levels of efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy and promptly resolve any discrepancies in line with company policies.
- Actively engage with the warehouse team to assess staffing requirements, define roles, and manage workload distribution, developing efficient work plans and ensuring appropriate tool allocation.
- Manage and direct visitors to the warehouse, addressing their inquiries and ensuring adherence to company visitor protocols and security measures.
- Monitor warehouse equipment and supplies, ensuring all tools are kept in optimal condition and stored correctly.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions to boost performance and reduce costs.
- Generate and maintain precise reports on warehouse activities, including inventory status, staffing, expenditures, and safety compliance, for management review.
- Uphold all company policies and procedures, fostering high standards to ensure consistency, quality, and a positive organizational culture.
Experience and Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in warehouse operations is required, with at least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Possess a strong understanding of inventory management principles, safety protocols, and standard warehouse procedures.
- Demonstrated familiarity with warehouse management software and relevant tools.
- Exhibit excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to train, guide, and motivate staff to achieve performance targets.
